Flutterwave is a Nigerian-founded B2B payments service (primarily) for companies in Africa to pay other companies on the continent and abroad. It has been launched in 2016. This company allows clients to tap its APIs and work with Flutterwave developers to customize payments applications.
Founders
Flutterwave has been established by Olugbenga GB Agboola.
Existing customers are, for instance, Uber, Booking.com, and e-commerce company Jumia. Flutterwave currently has more than 60,000 merchants on its platform.
Tips
Flutterwave had processed 107 M transactions worth $5.4 billion. Now, those transaction numbers have increased to over 140 M transactions worth more than $9 B. The company says more than 290,000 businesses use its platform to carry out payments.
